Hoe spot je nepnieuws (Covid-19 editie)?

Ik vertaalde deze week de coronaversie van IFLA-infographic How to spot fake news? naar het Nederlands. Over de achtergrond van het initiatief, How To Spot Fake News at a Time of COVID-19, stelt IFLA:

“In this situation, IFLA has produced an updated version of our popular ‘How To Spot Fake News’ infographic, with an increased focus on the need to check with authoritative sources, and recognition that much news now passes through messages on social media.”

De oorspronkelijke versie werd eerder al naar het Nederlands vertaald door Patrick Heemstra, maar in het licht van de aandacht die we vanuit Fers via het Data Detox-project besteden aan nepnieuws rondom corona pakten we het nu zelf op. De PDF-versie van het document download je hier.
