Ik kende dit initiatief eerlijk gezegd nog niet, totdat ik vandaag een retweet van Mylee Joseph voorbij zag komen over Beyond Access. Wat een geweldig en voor de hand liggend initiatief: gebruik de 230.000 bibliotheken in ontwikkelingslanden om lokale ontwikkeling te stimuleren.

At a time of tight budgets, investing in existing trusted local institutions is efficient and smart. More than 230,000 public libraries — 73% of the world’s total — are located in developing and transitioning countries.
