Vinyl Library: liefhebbers vullen platenbieb in Londen
Het draaien van platen wint al jaren aan hernieuwde populariteit en dat leidt in Londen tot een (logisch?) initiatief: de Vinyl Library. Dit communityproject in het Londense East End draait om het doneren van vinylcollecties om een platenbieb te realiseren. Een donatie staat vervolgens garant voor een gratis lidmaatschap. Mede-oprichtster Elly Rendall:
By taking donations the library creates an opportunity for vinyl lovers to share their passion for music with others and gain access to a world of records whilst still being able to listen to their own.
De Vinyl Library opent op 1 juli haar deuren. Het is de bedoeling om naast het beschikbaar stellen van platen ook luistersessies te organiseren. Vinyl Library is nu al bereikbaar op hun Facebookpagina.
